My family culture and heritage goes back three generations in the stone business.  I have been actively working with natural stone installation and restoration for the past 15 years under the tutelage of my father, grandfather and uncles. In March of 1999, I created and founded Granite Gold®, a product line developed for homeowners. When it comes to the core of my trade I cannot emphasize enough proper stone maintenance, otherwise the investment you have made is a waste of your money and our time. When it comes to selecting a stone or tile related contractor you must check for a valid license, insurance and solid references. There are too many quacks out there giving the industry a bad name and creating confusion often causing the consumer to ponder if they should even use natural stone.  Approximately 50% of our work is fixing someone else’s. You do not want to hire a ceramic tile installer to lay your ‘24x24’ crema marfil marble or a self proclaimed fabricator to cut your $1,500 slab on the back of their tailgate or even worst a janitorial/carpet cleaner/wood finisher/tile setter to treat your $5,000 kitchen granite or your 800 sq ft Travertine floor. In my years I have seen too many people disappointed with the end product.  My goal is to network with other trade channels to fill the void of the un-known and what-ifs in the industry. With the increase in stone popularity there is simply not enough people in the trade with experience and knowledge in all stone categories such as supplier’s installers, fabricators and especially stone care and restoration... I have provided a list of trade references who I feel are committed to the same goals and principals as I am.
